2008 Outstanding Assistant Principal By the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders Welcome to Hill City Elementary. I am Joeta Youngblood and I have had the honor and privilege of serving as the assistant principal at HCES for the past three years. I hold an EdS in Instructional Technology and Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Georgia. In my 28 years as an educator I have been a media specialist, special education resource teacher, and classroom teacher in grades 4-8. Hill City is a school for families. Our staff provides a wonderful instructional program for our students that are supported through family involvement and family activities. Our teachers provide rigorous and enthusiastic learning opportunities focused on GPS standards. Classroom instruction is provided through integrated, real life learning opportunities that allow students to collaborate in the creative learning process.
